Cranberry Walnut Dressing

  • 2½ cups small cubes Cranberry Walnut Bread
  • 3/4 cup small diced celery
  • 1 cup small diced onion
  • 10 leaves julienned sage
  • 2 cups chicken or turkey broth
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • salt & pepper
  • bay leaf
  1. Begin by pre heating your oven to 350 degrees
  2. Cube 2 ½ cups of Cranberry Walnut bread and place on a baking sheet to toast
  3. Toast bread until dry but not as dry as a crouton and set aside
  4. In a small sauce pan heat butter and add onion, celery, and bay leaf, cook for 10-12 minutes or until softened but little color
  5. Add broth, salt and pepper and taste
  6. Pour over bread cubes and let soak until all liquid is absorbed
  7. Julienne sage and fold into stuffing. At this point you can form stuffing as you wish.
  8. Bake for 15-30 minutes depending on size and shape or until center reaches 165 degrees.
