Sweet and Savory Grilled Cheese

  • 4 slices Cranberry Walnut Bread
  • 1 tsp. dijon mustard
  • 1 thinly sliced carmelized onion
  • 2 slices of sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices of Havarti cheese
  • 2 tbs. olive oil
  1. Begin by caramelizing an onion by slicing it thinly and cooking over medium heat with 1 TBS olive oil until golden.
  2. Next slice 4 pieces of Cranberry Walnut bread and spread with Dijon Mustard.
  3. Next place cheese on both sides of the bread.
  4. Layer caramelized onion on top of both cheddar slices and top with remaining havarti side.
  5. Cook in a cast iron skillet with remaining butter until cheese is melted and outside is crisp.
