Roast Garlic Steak Sandwich

  • 1 loaf of Artisan Bread
  • two 6 oz. boneless strip steaks, trimmed
  • 4 oz. crumbled bleu cheese
  • 2 red onion slices, ¼" thick slices
  • 3 tbsp. horseradish mayonnaise
  • ½ lemon, juiced
  • 1 medium ripe tomato, sliced
  • 1 small Boston bibb lettuce

Grill steak to medium rare and cut on diagonal into ½” slices. Grill onion slices until tender and crunchy, approximately two minutes per side. Sandwich assembly: Slice bread lengthwise. Layer bottom slice of bread with lettuce leaves, crumbled bleu cheese, steak slices, grilled onion slices, and tomato. Spread mayonnaise onto inside top of bread. Cut sandwich into serving portions.
